Praise God, He has answered again! We know there is great need in our community, and we want to reach out to help. Through the generous donations of others, a lot of help and much prayer, God has met that need again! Many are not aware that as a church, we struggle to meet our monthly budget, However, in spite of that God provides all that is need to hand out these boxes to our community. We packed and passed out 93 boxes. God is so good!
A word from Pastor Stephen May from the Rancho Tehama Community Church.
Let me first say the prayers of Rancho Tehama Community Church are with the injured from this morning’s tragic shooting and also with the loved ones left behind of those who died. It’s hard to know what to say when tragedy hits a small community like Rancho Tehama Reserve. I have so many positive things to say about Rancho Tehama, especially mentioning, Rancho Tehama Community Church which is God-centered, where there is love for God and people. It’s a church that will be giving out nearly a 100 meals this coming week and preparing for a Christmas party in which gifts are given out to the children on the Ranch. Please know that if anyone on the ranch needs to, or wants to talk, then please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (530)585-3337
I wish I could say I was surprised about the shooting this morning, but I’m not. The Bible says these things will happen, (Matthew 24:6-8, 2 Timothy 3:2-5). If this shooting and the shooting in Texas show us anything, it is that there is no safe place on the earth and that your life could end in a split second. The emphasis, therefore, is to make sure you are saved eternally. God has set the number of days we have on this earth, and the time He gives us is preparation time to prepare to meet God.
Pastor Stephen May
God has really been busy at Rancho Tehama Community Church. We completed our first successful year of Kid’s Club, We have seen an increase of homeless men attending services, and have become aware of many people who could attend church if they had transportation. After months of praying for God to provide, He answered! Youth with a Mission had a van they needed to sell and God knew of a church that needed a van. God worked in the heart of YWAM leadership. God moved in the heart of their leadership and we received a call in October that they would be willing to donate the 15 passenger van to RTCC and now we have transportation for our kid’s club, a classroom for our life-change group (homeless men). And provide a way to get people to church services.
Day 4 had the teachers teaching the kids to thank God in all circumstances, and were paid a visit from world class detective B Smart
And with temperatures in the triple digits, they were definitely thanking God for the water sprayers that Chic brought
The kids enjoyed learning a new memory verse song “1 Thessalonians 5:18”
Day 5 found Sandy Suzy off guard and surprised when detective B Smart made an appearance looking several decades younger, but some how just as smart
Our second part of day 5 started with the parents of the kids joining us for a lunch
Along with all the teachers telling the parents what the kids had learned all week, Pastor May gave a last missionary story, and announced that the kids had raised and donated enough funds to give nearly 250 meals to children in need around the world.
Beaming children and proud parents as thank you awards were past out
We can’t thank God enough for our Jr. leaders for the diligent work this week
RTCCs 2017 VBS dive instructors. Thank You one and all
The day started with our opening assembly and Pastor Mays “Missionary” story for the kids. The Children have been bringing in change each day to help feed kids at risk all over the world.
Noah (left) and his son Shem stopped by to show us how trusting God is the only right way to accomplish His will for our lives. Shem stayed on to help Sandy Suzy and Dutsel teach the kids.
After learning some important lessons, it was time to let the kids have some fun and cool down, although they seemed more interested in cooling down Chic.
